Winnifred wind project

Enerfin Energy Company of Canada Inc. is developing the Winnifred Wind Project, of 136,4 MW. The Project is located on privately-owned land approximately 5.5 km north of the hamlet of Whitla, in the County of Forty Mile No. 8, and Cypress County.

The Winnifred Wind Project will be connected to the existing Altalink 138 kV Bullshead substation located approximately 5km southwest of Medicine Hat. 

 

The proposed locations of the project infrastructures (turbines, underground collector lines, access roads and substation) are indicated in the project map

More details about the Winnifred Wind Power Project can be found in the Project Notification package as well as the Poster boards from the Open House hosted on Thursday September 12th of 2019 in Seven Persons.

More details about the Winnifred Wind Power Plant Connection Project can be found in the original 2021 Project Notification package and updated 2022 Project Notification Package as well as the updated routing map of the proposed transmission line for this connection project.

On May 27 additional information was filed to the AUC regarding the Connection Project as per the Notice to file letter.
